Hakkasan: one of my favourite restaurants
IN 2001 HAKKASAN in Hanway Place single-handedly transformed the public perception of Chinese food in London and how to make a fantastic Negroni cocktail (pictured above). Far away from the hustle of Chinatown. Where I dine at Hakkasan Mayfair is as sleek and stylish as their restaurant in Haway Place, with a menu with some of the best Chinese cooking. It's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but it is one of my go-to places when I feel flush as I recently did whenI took my boys there. Also, the staff make you feel special with their silky smooth service that always delivers.
Music triggers the same pleasure receptors as food and sex. Good music is central to creating an atmosphere and a reflection of a brand, Some restaurants get the music wrong, too loud – or plain nasty – that it puts you off ever going back. Hakkasan gets it right. It sets the scene and puts you in a great mood, so you want to spend as much time here.
Guys, if you really want to impress that girl, I recommend adding this sensual and refined hideaway to your list of places to visit when craving superb Cantonese cuisine. No meal is complete without the crispy duck salad (pictured above), easily one of my favourite dishes.
Hakkasan Mayfair is one of the sexiest restaurants in London. The buzz really hits you as you descend the stairs inside, passing from the day (or night) into night and drama and slick interiors.
